So Thursday night I entered a Sex and the City look alike contest as Charlotte....I've been told I resemble Kristin Davis and thought "what the heck," I have the clothes and I'm on vacation. So I entered and drug my friend Kristin N. with me. We got there and it was hilarious. People were dressed up, KOMO 4 and KING 5 News were there with TV cameras... and I was lookin' like Charlotte. And then, my friend, Kristin, the 6th grade teacher who has never seen an episode in her life...Kristin who just got off work and came for moral support (I have great friends!) Kristin, who has great hair... got pulled out of the crowd by the judges and won 4th place as Carrie! No, I didn't win, but the night was hilarious. My friend had to stand on the stage, mortified, and pretend to know something about the show. She even ended up on the News for her 6th Grade students to see! No, she looks nothing like Sarah Jessica Parker... but I think that incredible hair of her's (which looks nothing like SJP's) did the trick. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Shoes

As requested, here is the page I created to help me remember what shoes I have in my closet. C'mon, I know you all do the same thing. You wear the same ones over and over b/c you don't remember what you have. For the record, this is page 1 out of ___ pages I created for this purpose :) Yes, I have a lot of time on my hands these days.
Girls night
My little friend Steph spent the night with me the night before Easter. We've been friends since she was a baby, and I can't tell you how much I love this girl. (That's my messy closet in the background. Oops!) Steph informed me that she would like me to marry someone in construction. She, on the other hand, wants to marry a president.

Go Hawks!
One of the highlights of my job has been the opportunity to 1. Work with the Seahawks, they really are a fantastic and caring organization.... 2. Learn a little bit about football while I'm at it :). In fact, someone just e-mailed me an updated Excel Spreadsheet explaining the different playoff scenarios that could take place at this point. I love it! Anyhow, here are a few personal highlights of my involvement with this year's Seahawks season.

With Josh Brown back in August... my first NFL crush.
With Lofa Tatupu's mom, Linnea. She helped
me incorporate 2 of Lofa's military related
charities into our KTTH promotion for the
Military Appreciation Night in November.
(Click here to learn more our Military
Appreciation Promo on Seahawks.com.)
Click here to see a picture of my cousin's baby, Eowyn, a B97.3/Seahawks contest winner.
With my friend Nathanael at one of the games. We helped "Stuff the Bus" full of school supplies for Shaun Alexander's 30th birthday.

Meeting Mike
Earlier this month I had the honor of meeting one Presidential Candidate, Governor Mike Huckabee while he was in town for a fundraiser. I was very impressed with a lot of things I saw in him that night, but what stuck out to me the most was his optimism and his generational vision...clearly things I value as well. I haven't made a full, conscious decision to support him personally, but I am now determined to pay more attention to and carefully consider this candidate who is suddenly surging forward in Iowa.

Parking Hazards
I'm back!
Wow, I'm worse at this than I thought I'd be. Since the last time I wrote, I've been to Hawaii and somehow, this is one of the only group shots I ended up with. In fact, you wouldn't believe how few pictures I really did take while there. I guess I could have taken last year's pics, posted them and you really wouldn't have known the difference. Melody and I had another WONDERFUL Hawaiian vacation together with "the ladies." We have been so fortunate to have these opportunities to go to Hawaii together with our family. This year we pretty much did the same thing... a whole lot of nothing. I love my trips to Hawaii with Melody. Mel, you are the best, and I'm so grateful for the time and fun we had together last month.

Per the request of my dear friend and crack reporter, Jim Valley (shown in this picture taken at a recent work BBQ, he's on the right), here is an update. Yes, I did actually go back to that dance class, but that night "my krumping instructor" was too tired for krumping, so we did some "house dancing." The fundamentals were basically the same as salsa dancing, so I was just fine. This has been a long week, and I have more to say, but not now. I'm ready for the weekend......

Success Is Under Construction
I was in BIG trouble when my sister came home from the East coast (she's working on a cruise ship over there), discovered I have a blog, and she wasn't on it... yet. On this particular day we stopped by our old middle school and each took a picture with the sign. Mine wasn't this cute, so I'll just post Tati's picture. Anyhow, I thought the sign was absolutely perfect. "Success is under construction." Sis, you may still be unsure of exactly where you want to go with your life, but I am so excited for what your future has in store. I believe it's going to be filled with success and so many great things! I love you.

My Job

Where do I begin??? As most of you know, I have found myself working in radio, with a job that I absolutely love. I work with amazing and talented people, I feel like I truly get to make a difference in the world, and there's always something new happening around the studios. Here are a few photos from earlier this month. In the same week I (finally!) met my neighbor, Auburn's very own Sir Mix-a-Lot (which led to my first on-air interview with Sytman and Boze) and I had the chance to meet our newest host on KTTH, Glenn Beck, who popped in the building to say hello.
